Airfix, Class 4F 0-6-0 Fowler Tender Locomotive, No. 44454 in British Railways unlined black. The tender carries the early lion over wheel emblem. Looking at the wheels I would say the model has probably only been test run, it is very clean and tidy. I think they are an attractive locomotive class, this example has had a little accident, the cab step on one side of the loco has become detached but apart from that the model is fine. It does come with a set of instructions. Condition of the model is B to B+ in a B box. There is actually something else odd about this model, on one side of the loco the numerals appear to be less bright that the other side and if you hold it against the light I would say that someone has rubbed at them and they have become a little faded, it is still legible but I don't know why that has happened.

Airfix, Castle Class 4-6-0 Locomotive and Tender, No. 55090 "Neath Abbey". Loco is in "GW" lined green livery. It is pulling a Hawksworth style tender. The model has had some enhancements. It has got a couple of lamps to the front buffer beam, a train reporting number A28 to the smoke box door. The crew have been fitted and real coal has been added to the tender and there is some glue residue on the tender footplate. Model is relatively tidy. It has been used, I think the detailing parts have been fitted and fitted reasonably well. Overall I would grade the model as a B, perfectly useable in an original GMR box which is condition B also.

Airfix, 14XX Class 0-4-2 Tank Locomotive, No. 1466 in British Railways fully lined out green livery with late emblem to the tank sides. It is a rather nice model with lots of detail parts. This one is in good condition, the only major point I would raise is that the coupling rods have been painted a rust colour and also the break blocks and springs have also been slightly detailed. Apart from that it is condition B to B+ in a B box with a set of instructions.

I would grade it as a nice B to B+ there are no marks or damage or rubs. The box however is a different story, it is tatty, condition is C+ to B-, one end flap is torn and just about hanging on. The model however does come with the correct instructions.

Made for a short while from 1979 to 1981. this example appears to be unused. Model is in almost mint condition, the only point I would raise is that there is a very slight blemish in the paintwork on one side of the boiler just above the splashers. It cannot be seen unless it is held against a strong light, it does not detract in any way from the model. Condition is B+ or better in a B+ or better box. Model does come with a set of instructions.

Airfix, Class 4F 0-6-0 Tender Locomotive, No.44454 in British Railways unlined black livery with early crest to the tender. This is a re-numbered and re-painted version of this popular model. It has been converted to carry a diecast snowplough and tender cover, which is also diecast. There are other detailing enhancements, such as cab doors and lamps etc. Apparently, the prototype 43893 was the only 4F to carry a snowplough in this manner making it unique. This conversion has been reasonably well carried out - the paintwork isn't fantastic, but I think it captures the overall idea of the prototype. Condition is B. It is unboxed, but it has an inner tray.

Model has seen little or no use, the wheels are particularly shiny. The crew or a crew has been glued to the footplate, one is missing and there is a very slight rub above the letter S on one side of the tender, bearing this in mind the condition is B to B+. Box condition is a reasonable B.

Overall, the modifications have been carried out reasonably well - the numbering and nameplates in particular have been done well. Condition is a good B. Comes with instructions.
