Bowman, Gauge 0/Gauge 1 4-4-0 Tender Locomotive, No.4472 in LNER lined green livery. Loco has a wheel gauge of gauge 0 but the loco itself has been manufactured more to gauge 1 size and standards. It was made in this format from 1927 to 1935, and is a live steam model, powered by methylated spirits - the burner is situated under the boiler. It all appears to be complete, the safety valve is present and appears to be operational. There is considerable scorching to the boiler, which is what you'd expect I suppose - these are powerful locomotives. There are signs of surface rust - a lot more on one side than the other - and the loco is quite grubby and the cab roof is a little on the battered side. The tender is probably in a lot worse condition than the loco. There is surface rust to the wheels and to quite a number of the surfaces, and the paintwork is very faded. But it is complete, with couplings, and I suppose it's not too bad for a loco approaching 80 years old.
