Airfix (or Dapol possibly), Prototype Deltic Co-Co Diesel Locomotive, "Deltic" in powder blue livery. It is based on a plastic kit and motorised probably with a Lima chassis by the look of it. It has been built and painted to a good standard. There is a weight, which is loose in the chassis and would need to be secured. I think the model gives a reasonable representation of Deltic. I would grade its condition as a good B to B+. Perhaps the paint job could have been done a little more crisply - or maybe just giving it a gloss finish or sheen would enhance it, it's a bit matt the way it has been painted. An interesting model, nonetheless.

Dapol, Class 1000 Hawksworth County 4-6-0 Locomotive and Tender, No.1019 "County of Merioneth" in British Railways lined gloss black livery with early lion-over-wheel crest to the tender. The model was made from 1988 and I understand that the last few were made in 1994. The model has a particularly striking livery. This example has been lightly used, the wheels are still shiny and there are no marks or rubs to the bodywork. Condition is B to B+. The box is also very nice - condition is B to B+.

It has etched metal nameplates. Crew and lamps have been fitted. There is real coal in the bunker. Condition is a good B. Box condition is C+, one end has gone entirely and has been repaired. An interesting model, however.

The model is pulling a Hawksworth style tender and there is a Great Western crest between the letter on the tender. Model has a single chimney. It was first released in 1984. This example comes with a set of instructions. It is an unused example. Unmarked and clean, it has not been on a track. It would make a great edition to any collection. Condition is B+ to A- in a condition B box, showing some signs of wear.

Dapol, Pawksworth County Class 4-6-0 Locomotive and Tender, No. 1011 "County of Chester". Loco is in "GW" lined green livery. First impressions are a very clean and sharp model but there are several points, real coal has been added to the tender, a couple of lamps have been fitted to the buffer beam but perhaps most importantly the motor appears not to work. Also there could be a gearing problem, the wheels appear to turn so it definitely requires some serious attention. It comes in an original box with a set of instructions, condition of the box is B-. The cellophane has been damaged. Sold as seen.

Dapol, Class 155 Super Sprinter Two Car DMU comprising Unit No. 155329. The power car is No. 57329 and the dummy power car is No. 52329, both in British Railways provincial blue and grey. The model was made for a short time between 1992 and 1994. The model has been used, the roofs are just a little bit dusty but the overall impression is clean, sharp and without marks or rubs. I would say the coupling on the business end of the dummy power car has been modified slightly or repaired but is in full working order. The wheels are still relatively shiny, the model is a good B possibly as good as B to B+ in an original Winsford Dapol box which is condition B to B+.

Dapol, Class 150/2 Sprinter Two Car DMU, No. 150236 in British Railways provincial blue and grey livery. The powered car is No. 57236 and the dummy power car is No. 52236. Model has been lightly used but it is clean and tidy, I would say it has been renumbered as have the individual cars and the renumbering has been done to a fair standard, it is not brilliant but it is not a disaster. Condition is a good B, possibly B to B+ in original boxes, condition B.

Dapol, Castle Class 4-6-0 Locomotive and Tender, No. 5069 "Issenbard Kingdom Brunel". Loco is in "Great Western" lined green livery. The model has been renamed and renumbered into this identity, a reasonable job has been done using etched metal plates. The front buffer beam carries a lamp and the crew have been fitted to the footplate. The model has seen plenty of use. It is a little on the dusty side, some tools had been fitted to the coal and the tender top and have been removed leaving five glue residue marks. I doubt whether these will come off. Condition is B. Box is B-, showing signs of wear with heavy cellotape repairs.

Dapol, limited edition Pendolino 4-Car EMU, with Power Car no.390014, two intermediate cars no.69714 "City of Manchester" and no.69814, and Dummy Power Car no.xxx. The whole train is in Virgin silver and red livery and looks very nice indeed. There are one or two handling marks, which may be down to the packaging, but they are nothing substantial. Possibly of more cause for concern is that the pantograph appears to be missing from the roof of the power car. All the electrical equipment is there including the insulating pots etc, but the panto isn't. Model comes with instructions and guarantee slip. Condition is B to B+. Box condition is B to B+.
