Hornby Dublo, 8F Class 2-8-0 Locomotive and Tender, No. 48772 in British Railways plain unlined black livery. The tender carries the early lion over wheel emblem. The tender is the smooth sided Stanier type but missing coupling hook ( Minor) The model has been fitted with scale wheels both to the tender and to the loco, it runs but very reluctantly. It definitely needs a good service. The renumbering which has been done has been done to a very good standard, it is in cream letters and looks very nice. The paint finish on it is good, the tender has been repainted and a good job has been done. There is actually pickups on the tender as well. Overall an interesting model, it needs a little bit of time spending on it but I think it will be a worthwhile project. Condition is B+. unboxed

Hornby Dublo, Duchess Class 4-6-2 Locomotive and Tender, No.46235 "City of London" in British Railways part-lined maroon livery with the later style BR emblem to the tender. This is a 2-rail loco that was made between 1959 and 1964. This example is one of the better ones I've encountered, and is clean and tidy. There's a tiny amount of wear or chipping around the window frames on both sides of the model and there's a little chipping to the edge of the cab roof. And there is also a bit of paint loss on the top of the firebox and a couple of breaks to the lining on the running board. These are minor imperfections, and most would have been caused by being rubbed against the packaging. The tender is the unlined variant and is in generally good, clean condition, with just a couple of chips to the steps on both sides of the chassis and also at the end of the vehicle where it has been in contact with the back of the engine. The model comes with a test ticket, which is no.13, and an unused tube of lubricating oil. Also included is a spare tender-to-loco connector, for some reason, which has a ticket on it, no.20774. The model comes in an original red-stripe box, which is in B to B+ condition. Nice and fresh looking. Altogether, a nice model.

Hornby Dublo, Collett Castle Class 4-6-0 Locomotive and Tender, No. 4075 "Cardiff Castle". Locomotive is in British Railways lined green livery. The tender carries the later style emblem. This is a two rail locomotive and was manufactured from 1960 to 1965. This example comes in an original red stripe box. The model has seen some considerable use, one or two nicks to the lining on the loco and the tender, nothing too serious. The most wear is actually on the cylinder covers where the majority of the lining on one side has worn away and the other is showing signs of wear. There is just one or two chips, the overall impression though is not too bad, I would grade it as a good useable B. The box is showing signs of wear to the edges and corners but it is intact.

Hornby Dublo, GWR Castle Class 4-6-0 Locomotive and Tender, No.4075 "Cardiff Castle" in British Railways lined green livery with the later style emblem to the tender. This is 2-rail loco, made between 1960 and 1965. This example has seen quite considerable use - the Dublo coupling to the tender has been replaced by a Triang Hornby type, and the model itself is quite dirty and would require thorough cleaning to bring it up to scratch. The dome has frosted and would need cleaning up as well. There are also one or two nicks to the lining, and there's chipping on the edge of the running plate and tender chassis. Condition is B. Comes in an original red stripe box, which looks a little on the tired. Box condition is B- to B.
