Wrenn Railways W2261.Wrenn Railways W2261. Ref: WR100529
Wrenn, Class 6P Royal Scot 4-6-0 Locomotive and Tender, No. 6102 "Black Watch". Loco is in LNS lined black livery. Made certainly in terms of Wrenn for a considerable length of time from 1981 to 1992. This example has got three boiler bands. It is in an original Wrenn box but it is not the correct box for the model. It is actually marked up for 2260 which is a maroon Scot box. The box base is marked up Packer No. 1 with reference No. 00229. The model itself has seen some use, the safety valves are showing signs of discolouration. There are one or two chips, namely there are two on the boiler about 1mm square. There are two or three chips to the running board on both side of the locomotive. There are chips also to the back of the tender where it meets the back of the loco footplate area and one or two other very minor chips. The overall impression however is actually quite good. The model looks clean and tidy, notwithstanding the points raised. Overall condition is a good solid B, I am tempted to give it slightly more than that. The box however is not a good example, it is tatty,, a bit grubby. It is a period 4 box and I would grade that as a B- to B ( Note photo show's period 3 box)

Wrenn Railways W2274/5PWrenn Railways W2274/5P Ref: WR100402
Wrenn, Class 6P Parallel Boiler Royal Scot 4-6-0 Locomotive and Tender, No.6125 "Lancashire Witch" in LMS lined maroon livery. The model was made on and off between 1984 and 1992 - with a production run, I understand, of only 300 pieces during those years. This example is possibly slightly unusual in that, as far as I can tell, it has a 3-pole motor, which I understand is incorrect for this model. But in every other respect the chassis appears to be spot on - the cylinder covers match the loco etc. It has seen some use, but the wheels are still shiny. There is a very small pin-prick mark to the cylinder lining on one side and a couple of breaks in the lining along the running plate. But one slight problem might be that the loco has had crew fitted to the footplate - they could be removed of course but this would then leave a glue residue, which can't be seen because it's between the loco and the tender. There are one or two chips to the back of the tender where it makes contact with the loco, and there are one or two chips along the high points of the metalwork at the back end of the footplate. But the overall impression of the model is bright and clean - condition is B to B+. It comes in an original Wrenn box, but it is incorrect for this model.
