Wrenn, Gresley A4 Class 4-6-2 Locomotive and Tender, No.4463 "Sparrow Hawk" in NE unlined wartime black livery. The Sparrow Hawks were made in very small numbers towards the end of Wrenn production. I have a feeling that this particular example, although in pristine condition, probably started life as Peregrine or Gannet. It has an early type chassis, whereas I believe the Sparrow Hawks should have the large-wheeled chassis, which came later. If it has had its identity changed, it has been done very well - certainly the numbers look genuine to me. However, the nameplates, which appear to be the stick-on type, don't look quite right. I understand that they were probably transfers. The wheels suggest that the loco has been test-run only. Condition is B+ or better, very clean and sharp. The model comes in a late 'period 4' box, which has the green hue to it. One end of the box is blank, while the other end has a typed label, which again I have my doubts about. The inner box is plain without a bottom stamp. Box condition is B+ or better, again very clean and sharp. Comes with instructions. The model is one of those where you have to make up your own mind about what you think of it or its history.

Wrenn, A4 Gresley 4-6-2 Locomotive and Tender, No. 4482 "Golden Eagle". Locomotive is finished in LNER lined Doncaster green livery. The engine has a double chimney and is running with valances pulling a corridor type tender. The loco has seen some use but it is an unmarked example, there is no chippings whatsoever to the loco. The handrail is showing signs of discolouration to both sides for some reason. The tender, there is a very slight amount of paint loss to the coal which is showing some of the base green underneath, a simple matter to touch up. The lining on one side of the tender has got a couple of very tiny breaks to it on the left hand side, with that exception I would grade the loco as a B to B+ in a tidy period 3 box which is Packer No. 6 to the bottom. It comes with a set of instructions.
