Made in 2001 only, this very striking loco has seen light use only, no marks or rubs. - I would grade it as B+ Box condition is B- to B top has faded and the end flap is tatty.. Comes with instructions and 2 detailing packs (including spare Bogie) Please note dating from 2002 this model is NOT DCC ready.

Churchward for heavy freight work. They were the first 2-8-0 class in Great Britain. The prototype, originally numbered 97 but later renumbered 2800, appeared in 1903. Construction of the production series commenced in 1905 and continued until 1919. The 2884 Class which appeared in 1938-1942 was developed from the 2800 class and is sometimes classified with it. still working right up to the end of steam on the Western region in 1965. Six decades of service testify to the quality of Churchward's original design.

This model is from a collection where the models were not taken out of the box at all from new ,we have used library photos to illustrate the locomotive - in order not to disturb the contents- a rare opportunity to acquire a totally unused as new model in its original box An all new model featuring: loco drive 5 pole motor, DCC ready, sprung buffers, cab and tender detail. The A3 designed by Sir Nigel Gresley entered service in 1928 with a total of 79 built.

A large class of 206 engines built by the LMS between 1935 and 1943. A successful design that went to be adapted for the standard BR 4MT standard tank. The 4P's were withdrawn from service between 1962 and 1967. None have been preserved.
