DJH, 7mm gauge O fine scale kit-built model of a BR Standard Class 2 Ivatt 2-6-0 Locomotive and Tender, No.78059 in British Railways mixed traffic lined black livery. The model has been built to a good standard with plenty of detail - sprung buffers, brake detail, lamp irons, lots of plumbing around the firebox area and good backhead detail. Overall, a handsome and impressive-looking loco. It has also been painted to a reasonable standard. A bit of weathering has been dome around the motion, but apart from that, the loco is in fine B to B+ condition. Comes in its original box with instructions. Box condition is B+.

Gauge O, finescale model of an ex-Great Eastern Class J68 0-6-0 Tank Locomotive, No.7053 in LNER lined black livery. This superb little loco, built recently to the highest standards by David Southwell, features a wealth of detail. This class was used on the Essex suburban trains out of Liverpool Street Station to Chingford and places like that. It is fitted with condensing equipment to enable it to operate in tunnels. The model features all of the pipework associated with the condensing kit. It carries a smokebox door board, which reads Liverpool Street. The roof is removable to reveal lovely backhead detail, complete with actual copper pipes. There is real coal in the bunker, full brake detail and further detail under the chassis associated with the condensing equipment. Condition is A. Comes in a non-original box.

Vulcan Model Engineering.Vulcan Model Engineering. Ref: OFIN100095
Vulcan, 7mm Gauge O Finescale Model of a Fowler 0-4-0 Diesel Shunting Locomotive, No. 2 in LMS plain unlined black livery. The model is a white metal kit and as such is very heavy. It is in nice working order. It runs well at slow speeds. The control panel is nicely detailed and picked out. There is no hook to the front buffer beam that would need to be fitted and the rear hook has a chain link. It is an unusual model, it has been reasonably well constructed. When you look down the loco the chimney seems to be slightly scuwhiff, only slightly. The front cab windows are glazed and the rear ones are unglazed. It is fitted with etched brass work plates and the loco was built in 1935 by Fowler for the LMS engineering department hence the number ED1. After nationalisation it spent most of its life working in the north west being based at Castleton, Beeston and Patricroft in Manchester. Model is unboxed. Condition is B to B+.

Finescale O gaugeFinescale O gauge Ref: ofin100091
7mm gauge O finescale model of a Fowler 4F 0-6-0 Tender Locomotive, No.4376 in LMS unlined plain black livery. I find the 4Fs an attractive model - and this one has been reasonably well made. It features screw-link couplings and spring buffers. It has a bar connector to attach the tender to the loco. It is fitted with sanding pipes and brake gear and has reasonable backhead detail. The tender has real coal in it and looks realistic. The model has been put together reasonably well and the paint finish is pretty much typical for a dull black LMS loco. I understand that it has been scratch-built. An interesting model. I would grade its condition as B.

It has been built from an Acme kit and has been finished to a high standard. It has a sanding pipe and brake detail, sprung buffers, screw-link couplings and backhead detail. The rivet details on the side tanks and cylinder covers are excellent. There is real coal in the bunker.

7mm gauge O finescale model of a Fowler ex-LMS Patriot Parallel Boiler 4-6-0 Locomotive and Tender, No.45508 in British Railways lined green livery with the later style BR emblem to the Fowler-type tender with coal rail. It is a fine model of one of the few Patriots that were unnamed. It is fitted with screw-link couplings and sprung buffers and has overhead warning flashes. The model is in fine working order and has been finished to a reasonable standard. It has backhead detail and real coal in the tender. I'm not sure whether or not the model has been scratch built.
Price: £750.00 / $1,327.50

Gauge O Kit BuiltGauge O Kit Built Ref: OFIN100092
Gauge O finescale 7mm model of an LMS 3F Half Cab 0-6-0 Tender Locomotive, No.12572 in LMS unlined black livery. This is a scratch-built model with full backhead detail, brake gear, sprung buffers, brass boiler and real coal in the tender. It's very heavy and has a 5-pole motor. I think the only thing I would criticise is that the finish on the firebox where it slopes inwards and curves down towards the running plate is not very good - it's a bit rough but maybe it's something that could be looked at, it's worse on one side than the other although with the engine painted black it's not that obvious. Overall condition is a good B. Unusual subject matter, and nice to see.

RJHRJH Ref: OFIN100077
RJH, 7mm Gauge O Model of a Class 47 Brush Type 4 Co-Co Diesel Locomotive, No. D1728 in British Railways two tone green livery with small yellow warning panels. This is a brass sheet kit which has been built to a reasonable standard. It has twin power bogies with Delrin drive. It has sprung buffers and draw bar detail. There is no head code showing. There is probably room for some slight detail enhancement to the model, slightly plain but well made. One or two small discrepancies but a reasonably priced model finished to a reasonable standard. Condition is a good B to B+. It comes in its original box which is condition B.
Price: £395.00 / $699.15

Gauge O, 7mm Gauge O Finescale Model of a Robinson B2/B19 Ex Great Central Railway Class 1 4-6-0 Locomotive and Tender, No. 423 "Sir Sam Fay". Locomotive is finished in Doncaster green lined LNER livery. The prototype was built at Gorton works in 1912 and was scrapped in 1947 never making it into British Railways days. Truly handsome locomotive with beautiful smooth lines, looks particularly nice in the LNER green. The model has been built to a good standard with chrome fittings work plates on the front splasher, brake gear, real coal in the tender, sprung buffers. Overall a really classy looking locomotive, condition is a good B+. It comes in a none original box.

O Gauge, 7mm Gauge O Finescale Model of a LNER Ex Great Central Railway Robinson J11 Class 0-6-0 Tender Locomotive, No. 4409 in LNER plain unlined black livery. The model finished to a reasonable standard comes with coal in the tender, sprung buffers, chain link couplings, back head detail. Looking at the total quality of the build it has been done to a good standard, it is a little on the plain side I think it is fair to say particularly the cab sides lack a bit of detail. So what has been done has been done to a good standard but it could probably be enhanced with a bit more detail. Condition is B to B+ in a none original box. Affectionately these loco's were also known as Pom Poms.

O Gauge Locomotive.O Gauge Locomotive. Ref: OFIN100023
7mm or Gauge O EM2 Class 77 Co-Co Overhead DC Electric Locomotive, No. 27002 in British Railways early green livery. The model is running without warning panels and it is modelled prior to naming. In my opinion it is a scratch built model and looks absolutely superb. It is finished in lined British Railways green. It has a pair of pantographs. There is surface rust showing to the springs on the panto's and also one or two pieces of the pantograph frame are showing signs of surface rust also. With the exception of that the model is in good clean condition, it is fitted with windscreen wipers and vacuum pipes. It has chain link couplings. It is in good running order, slow running is excellent. It has a single motor, it is a physically large motor that drives through gears to two of the axles on the power bogie. The model has been made out of brass with white metal bogie frames. It is fitted with work plates and has some roof equipment added. There is a little scuff mark to the roof on one end but that would easily touch up. Condition is B to B+.

M S L Hobbies, 7mm gauge O Class 76 EM1 Bo-Bo Overhead DC Electric Locomotive, No.26053 "Perseus" in British Railways lined green livery with small yellow warning panels, red buffer beams, screw-link couplings, sprung buffers and pale grey roof. The model has two pantographs and a single power bogie. It has direct drive from the motor to both axles on the motor bogie. It has been constructed by David Southwell of Staffordshire. It is a beautiful model with a good level of detail, and is fine representation of a 'Tommy'. It also has etched metal nameplates and works plates - there are four of the Gorton works plates and two of the Metropolitan-Vickers works plates. Condition is A-. Comes in its original box, which is in condition A-.

MSL 0 Gauge Fine Scale LocomotiveMSL 0 Gauge Fine Scale Locomotive Ref: OFIN100070
MSL, O gauge 7mm fine scale model of an EM2 Class 77 Co-Co Overhead DC Electric Locomotive, No.27000 in British Railways red-lined black livery with the early lion-over-wheel emblem. The model has been constructed by David Southwell to a high, exhibition standard. It is fitted with a NWSL motor and a Delrin driving three axles on one bogie. The model has full roof detail with insulating pots and wiring etc. And while the pantographs are accurate, they are permanently down; if you wanted them to be operational it would require some work of your own. There are springs etc attached to the pantos. Model comes with six sets of works plates. It is fitted with screw-link couplings and has cab detail. It looks very attractive indeed. Condition is B+, it hasn't been used, only on display. The only slight point I would raise is that the trailing bogie is a loose fit in the chassis and care has to be taken when picking up the loco.

7mm Gauge O, fine scale model of ex LNWR 'Prince of Wales' Class 4-6-0 Locomotive and tender, No 25725 in LMS unlined black livery. The model would appear to be scratch built to a good standard. Powerful looking engine. The paint finish is good. The model has, sprung buffers, (Tender buffers are unsprung) brake detail, backhead detail, screw link coupling, coal in tender, vacuum pipes, tender coal rail etc. Runs well. The loco which was built in 1919 was originally numbered 783 in LNWR days.

O Gauge FinescaleO Gauge Finescale Ref: OFIN100094
7mm gauge O finescale model of a Stanier Black Five 4-6-0 Locomotive and Tender, No.44760 in British Railways lined black livery with the later crest to the tender sides. This is a brass kit-built model that has been soldered. It has added weight and is fitted with a RG7 motor, which means the chassis rolls. It has lovely motion and is a smooth, quiet runner. The motion has been very slightly weathered - and is actually pretty much prototypical in that there's quite a lot of oil around the motion area, which looks rather good. The tender has real coal piled in it. The level of detail is reasonable as is the standard of construction. The only point I would make is not something we can actually check, but I understand from the previous owner that the model is restricted to running on quite wide curves - we think it needs something like 10-12 ft radius curves - due to the way the detail has been added to the cylinder blocks. To run on any tighter curves would require some slight re-working on the back of the cylinders to allow the bogies to move right over. The model has backhead detail and the paint finish is reasonable. It looks a bit on the grubby side, which I think enhances the model. Overall condition is B to B+, there are one or two slight bends to the steps, but nothing significant. A good-looking model.

Gauge O Finescale Diesel LocomotiveGauge O Finescale Diesel Locomotive Ref: OFIN100087
7mm gauge O finescale model of a British Railways Class 14 0-6-0 Diesel Hydraulic Type 1 Locomotive, No.D9527 in British Railways two-tone green livery with black and yellow hazard stripes to the nose ends. The model is fitted with headcodes that read 0Z00 and 9M78. This is an all-brass model and is quite weighty. It is fitted with a can-style motor and is a good, slow-speed runner. It is also fitted with a pair of chain-link couplings. The cab roof is removable to reveal cab detail. The building of the model has been reasonably well executed - possibly my only criticism would be the paint finish as to my eyes the shade of Brunswick green is a bit on the light side while the pale green around the cab area appears to be correct. The hazard stripes have been applied reasonably well, but they could be sharper. The overall look of the loco is good and it's an interesting subject. It's certainly something that I've not come across very often. It has a good quantity of detail fitted including a non-working fan. And one of the striking features of this loco is the jack shaft drive, which is faithfully reproduced on the motion, and it has brake gear, handrails etc. Condition is B.

DJH K320DJH K320 Ref: OFIN10010
DJH, O guage (7mm) Ivatt Class 2 2-6-0 Locomotive and Tender. This model was built from a DJH locomotive kit. It has a Maschima 1833 motor and Gibson gearbox. It is an authentic scale model of this popular and versatile Class 2 mixed traffic loco built at Swindon in 1953. The Swindon factory was unique in the fact that it retained the tradition of painting the last 25 of this class in GWR green. This version has been built to exhibition standard in the correct lined green livery referred to above and with the number 46525. The shed plates denote that it was in fact a Bristol locomotive. Being a true representation of the prototype, this loco will only negotiate a minimum of 6ft radius curves; however, if sharper curves are being used, removal of the front steps will make this possible. The model is finished to exquisite standard by builder and painter David Southwell of Staffordshire. Condition is A. Comes in its original box with certificate of build authenticity and photographs.

O gauge, 7mm model of a Class 20 English Electric Bo-Bo Type 1 Diesel Locomotive, No.D8158 in British Railways green livery with small yellow warning panels and the later style BR emblem. The model is fitted with headcode boxes that read 2T77 at both ends. It has sprung buffers, very well detailed buffer beam detail, excellent cab detail, and a fan under the fan grille cover. There are two motors with ???? drive. An impressive-looking brass and white metal kit-built model. Possibly the only point I would raise is that one of the body panels has a slight ripple in it where it meets the side of the cab - but this is hard to see. Overall, I would grade the model's condition as B to B+. Comes in a nice, wooden carrying box.
