Trix Liliput 1045Trix Liliput 1045 Ref: TRX100182
Trix Liliput, Gresley A4 Class 4-6-2 Locomotive and Tender, No.4468 "Mallard" in LNER garter blue livery with red-backed wheels. The loco has valances, a double chimney and the tender is the corridor type. A good example of this tender-driven model. It's mark-free and is a lovely clean and bright example in a Liliput wood-style box. It has Hornby Dublo style couplings to the tender. Condition grades B+
Price: £110.00 / $194.70

Trix Trains, A3 Class 4-6-2 Locomotive and Tender, No. 4472 "Flying Scotsman". Loco is in LNER lined apple green livery and this particular variant has two tenders. Model has seen very little use, the wheels are still relatively shiny. The loco itself is crisp and clean, condition is B+ as is the coal tender. The water carrier however has got a slight rub to one corner of the lining and a little mark just underneath it. Overall the model I would describe as B to B+. It comes in a nice original box with a set of instructions, box is condition B.
Price: £120.00 / $212.40

Trix, HO Gauge EM1 Bo-Bo DC Overhead Electric Locomotive, No. 26025 in British Railways lined green livery with the early lion over wheel emblem. The model has been lined and renumbered, I believe the BR crest has also been added. It has been done well, the model looks very smart. Both the pantographs are in good order, one or two chips mostly to the buffer beams, one or two to the edge of the bogies but not bad. Condition is B, possibly a little better. It is in a none original box. Model is in working order and it has working lights to both cabs.
Price: £140.00 / $247.80

Trix Twin, HO Gauge EM1 Class Bo-Bo Overhead DC Electric Locomotive, No. 26001 in British Railways lined green livery with the later style emblem. The model has had the lining put on later and also it has been renumbered, it has been done to a fine standard. The pantographs are in good order, the whole model is in good shape. There is virtually no chips at all, perhaps one or two to the buffer beams but apart from that a very good example. Condition is B+. It comes in an original box which is condition B-, the lid is beginning to part but it is intact as it stands. The cab lights are working at one end only.

Trix Twin Railways 1115.Trix Twin Railways 1115. Ref: TRX100168
Trix Twin, HO Scale Standard Class 5 4-6-0 Locomotive and Tender, No. 73000 in British Railways lined green livery. The tender carries the later style BR emblem. It is a fine looking model, it is die cast, nice and heavy. In full working order, it is a two rail version with scale wheels. Made from around 1960 to 1965 in this style. The loco is in much better condition than the tender for some reason, the tender is actually painted a darker shade of green and as the box is marked up for a Britannia it makes me think that this tender belongs to a Britannia. However, one or two chips to the tender on both sides, particularly on one side there is maybe a dozen or more. The loco itself is in much better condition. The body itself is virtually chip free but unfortunately the cylinder covers are badly worn on both sides. Apart from that though not too bad, a good condition B in a B to B+ box. Bearing in mind the box is marked up for the Britannia.
Price: £90.00 / $159.30

Trix Twin, A HO Gauge Model of a Class EM1 Bo-Bo DC Overhead Electric Locomotive, No. 26010 in British Railways lined black livery. The model has the later style British Railways emblem. It is lined out in red. It has working cab lights and is currently set up for three-rail operation. The EM1 loco or Class 76 worked the route between Manchester and Sheffield on the Woodhead line. This model is probably as good an example as I have encountered. Looking at the wheels it has seen a small amount of use but it completely unmarked, unscratched example, very attractive. It comes in an equally nice original box which is condition B+ or better and interestingly comes with an original receipt from Basset-Lowke, their High Holborn Store in London. The original price which was in 1964 with 2 pounds 16 shillings. A super model.
Price: £275.00 / $486.75

Trix, A3 Class 4-6-2 Locomotive and Tender, No. 60103 "Flying Scotsman". Model is in British Railways Brunswick lined green livery and the tender carries the lion over wheel emblem. This variant is the Tender Tribe version, it looks handsome in this green livery, it carries the banjo style dome and single chimney. I can't make my mind up but it is possible that the faces of the wheels have been overpainted in black but this could just be a Trix factory job as well. It is in working order, model is currently fitted with chain link style couplings and it has sprung buffers also. Model is also fitted with cylinder brass pipes and extra coal has been fitted to the tender. Model looks really good, there is some wear to the paintwork at the top of the banjo dome and there is a few scuff marks to the front of the boiler near the top. Overall condition is a good B, possibly B to B+. It comes in a reasonably tidy box, condition B, however the box is marked up for a Trix Pullman car.

The roof is a pale sand colour which is correct for this livery. The repaint has been done to a reasonable standard. It is in good order, the pantographs are operational. The model is in full working order with operational lights to both cabs. It comes in a none original box. There is a little bit of surface rust showing to the pantographs.

Loco is finished in British Railways lined green livery and carries the later style British Railways emblem in the form of a plate above the nameplate. The model has been renamed and renumbered and lined out, done to a very high standard. Looks very attractive, virtually chip free example, there is a couple of chips around the edge of the body behind the cab door on one side and a couple of other minor chips but apart from that a good looking example with working pantographs. Model is in working order with working lights. It comes in a none original box.

Trix, (HO gauge) EM1 Class Bo-Bo Overhead Electric Locomotive, No.26010 in British Railways lined black livery. This particular model is set up for two rail use and has the dublo style couplings fitted. It has the one piece roof ventilators. Both pantographs are in good order, as are the castings to the chassis. At the bottom of one of the bogies are the letters K9 which had been applied by the factory at some point in the past when the loco has been returned for repairs. It's in fine working order and both sets of cab lights are working fine. Overall condition is good, it's a tidy example. The running numbers and the crests are all in unmarked condition. There are a couple of marks to the bodywork but nothing major. Overall condition is probably B to possibly B+. The loco is in a good A- box but it is in fact a box that's been supplied by the Trix Collectors Club.

Trix, Class A3 4-6-2 Locomotive and Tender, No.4472 "Flying Scotsman" in LNER Doncaster lined green livery. This version comes with a second water-carrier tender. The loco has the banjo style dome and has the motor in the loco chassis. This is a 2-rail model and was made in this form from 1968 to 1970. Model is in fine working order, although it appears to me that the water-carrier is a slightly darker shade of Doncaster green. The loco is in excellent unmarked condition - I would grade it as B+, possibly better. The tender is in much the same condition, B+ to A-. And the condition of the water-carrier may be B to B+. It's in a nice original yellow box and comes with instructions. Box condition is B- to B, it is intact but there are signs of wear to one of the corners, which has had a Sellotape repair, and a label has been removed from the top of the box.
Price: £110.00 / $194.70

Trix, Class AL1 Bo-Bo Overhead Electric Locomotive, No.E3001 in British Railways electric blue livery with white cab roofs and window surrounds, white roof and red buffer beams. The loco is a 3-rail version with embossed numbers and lion-over-wheel motifs to the body sides. This dates the model from 1963 to 1964. It has two operating pantographs. Appears to be complete, both sets of couplings, buffers, and pantographs are all present and correct. Currently however, it is not working, but attaching it to the meter suggests that it is taking power - so there may be a connection problem. While the cab roofs and the roof section could do with a clean, the overall look of the loco is very tidy. It's certainly a good B, possibly slightly better. As an example, it is well worth investing a little time to bring it up to scratch - it could turn into a really excellent model. The model is unboxed.

This is one of the later versions of the model with the later style bogie. This model also has the later style wire bar style coupling and naturally the Peco-style couplings have not been fitted. It's certainly compatible with Hornby and Bachmann locomotives. There are two sets of instructions including one relating to the coupling bar. Condition is B+. Box condition is B to B+.

Trix Liliput 1021Trix Liliput 1021 Ref: TRX100132
Trix Liliput, Class 124 Trans Pennine DMU 5-Car Unit. This is in HO gauge and is 2-rail. It was manufactured from 1974 to 1984 and all five vehicles have grey interiors. Starting with the Power Car, No.51960 in British Railways blue and grey livery. This appears to be completely unused, it's about as nice as it can get. There are no marks or rubs - everything is there, it's got working lights etc. The Dummy Power Car, No.51960 has working lights, again it's in the same condition as the power car. It's unused. Condition is B+ to A- for the two power cars. Moving on to the Mk1 Buffet Car, No.NE59774, again in blue and grey livery. All five of these vehicles have grey interiors, incidentally. This one has been lightly used possibly, but is in great, unmarked condition - I would grade it as B+. Comes in a lovely box, no.1277. Next, is a pair of Composite Coaches, both No.M16171, all in similar condition to the other vehicles - either not used or very lightly used. I would grade all the rolling stock as B+, possibly A-. All five of the boxes are in condition B+, although one of the composite coach boxes is showing signs of damp to the exterior of the lid. Four of the boxes have the Liliput wood finish style, and the other is the large flat style box. It's a wonderful set - as good as you're likely to find.

This version is a 3 rail version with scale wheels, it is of course HO gauge or I should say HO scale. It is in good useable condition, there are some chips to the paintwork more on one side than the other. Overall condition is probably condition B. It comes in a nice original box with a virtually pristine set of instructions and original packaging.

Trix, 7P6F Britannia Class 406-2 Locomotive and Tender, No.70054 "Dornoch Firth" in British Railways lined green livery with the later style crest to the tender. This model is in HO gauge and is a 3-rail example. It is fine working in order. The nameplates are etched metal and have been well fitted. The loco has been re-numbered. Both the loco and tender are suffering from a considerable amount of paint loss, for some reason, and both vehicles appear to be pretty chipped all over. Probably a good candidate for a re-paint, I would say. On this model, there is a wire that runs from the cab to the back plate of the tender - normally there is a little plug at the end of the wire, but this is missing and it would need to be re-instated. I have no supporting evidence, but I understand there could be a possibility that this loco was re-named and re-numbered by the Trix factory at the time, as part of a small batch that was produced for a customer. Overall condition is B-. Unboxed.

Trix Twin, HO scale Britannia Class 4-6-2 Locomotive and Tender, No.70000 "Britannia" in British Railways lined green livery with the later style emblem to the tender. The model is a 2-rail version with scale wheels. For some reason the paint system on the smoke deflectors has failed and the paint is flaking off. The cylinder covers are worn and it's possible that the smoke box and the cab roof have been over-painted in black. The lined-green paintwork on the loco itself is in reasonably tidy condition. The tender has a few chips - mostly to the chassis. Model comes in its original box, which is nice and tidy, and all the original packing is in place and the instructions are present too in nice condition. Condition B Box B

This particular version was made from 1950-56 and it's a 16 volt AC locomotive. It's in good usable condition. There are one or two chips to the paintwork but it's not excessive, with the exception possibly of the cylinder covers and the steps which have taken some wear. One of the motifs on the tender has suffered some heavy wear but still an interesting locomotive. Unboxed

Model has had a reasonably hard life starting underneath on the central metal chassis block, the two guides which allow the bogie frames to move are both suffering from metal fatigue and they have fractured also looking inside the metal frame again a little bit of bowing going on which is obviously a sign of the beginnings of metal fatigue. As it stands the model is still useable, it still work. Also on one of the bogies a small amount of detail around the brake area has fractured. This is a footplate man kit which has been made up. Condition is B- to B. Box condition is B, one corner has been tape repaired.
