Class 56 Co-Co diesel electric Type 5 Heavy freight locomotive , No 56013 in British Rail blue livery. (Pristine Finish) This all new model from Hornby features : power wipers on all wheels, 5-pole skew-wound motor, twin bogie drive, DCC ready, directional lights, Sprung opening cab doors, well detailed cab,. All handrails are wire, metal sprung buffers, and metal grid covers the pair of 12-blade red revolving fans in the roof. The grills in the locomotive's sides, below the fan, can be seen through, NEM pockets. This Version of the Class 56 is one of the 'Romanian' batch ( 56001-56030) With a number of detail differances from the later Doncaster & Crewe locomotives. The 1st loco from the Electroputere Factory in Craiova, Romania was delivered to Tinsley in 1976.

Hornby, Rebuilt Bulleid West Country Class 4-6-2 Locomotive and Tender, No.34018 "Axminster" in British Railways lined green livery with the later style emblem to the tender. The model has been re-named and re-numbered into this identity. The nameplates are truly impressive: large, etched metal plates with the town crest. The re-numbering has been done to a reasonable standard. The plates have been fitted professionally by the look of it, while the re-numbering is OK on one side with a slight difference in colour between the re-numbered and the original on the other side. The model has been used. One of the grab rails on the top of the boiler is slightly loose, but apart from that, the model is in good B to B+ condition, bearing in mind the issue with the running number. It comes with a quantity of unused detailing parts and instructions, and in its original box. Box condition is B to B+.

Box Condition B+ DCC ready. model is fitted with 5 Pole Skew wound motor, sprung buffers , fine detailing, suitable for Hornby 2nd Radius ( 438mm) curves. The Arthurs were built in 6 batches from 1918 to 1927. Designed by Robert Urie, the total built was 74. No 30453 'King Aurther' was built at Eastleigh works entering service in 1925 as an '' Eastleigh Aurther'' and was withdrawn in 1961.

Hornby, Collet Designed Grange Class 4-6-0 Locomotive and Tender, No. 6848 "Toddington Grange". Loco is finished in British Railways lined green livery. The tender carries the early lion over wheel emblem. It is an interesting model, it has been renamed and renumbered. It is what you might call a hybrid model in as much as its sat on a weathered grange set of chassis whereas the body, the loco and the tender are none weathered. I am not entirely sure whether the body has been given a light varnishing, it is possible. The renumbering and renaming has been done to a good standard and it certainly looks good with the weathered chassis and the none weathered body. Overall condition is B+. The box is showing signs of wear, I would grade that only as a condition B. The model does come with some detailing parts and a set of instructions.

Hornby, Class M7 4-4-0 Tank Locomotive, No 357 in Southern Railway lined green livery

A brand new model from Hornby, a super detail model fitted with a 5 Pole skew wound motor, DCC ready, sprung buffers, backhead detail and is suitable for 1st radius ( minimum 438mm ) curves.

Designed by Drummond in 1895 for the L&SWR, a total of 105 Locomotives were built over a 14 year construction span. All but one engine ( No 126 ) passed into British Railways ownership.

One of the batch built in 199, No 357 originally had the sandboxes located in the Smoke box, together with the short overhang. However by the 1930's the sandboxs had been relocated below the running plate immediatley behind the front buffer beam.
