Triang, TT or 3mm gauge, Electric Train Set, comprising a Castle Class 4-6-0 Locomotive and Tender, No.5011 "Tintagel Castle" in British Railways lined green livery with the later style crest to the tender. Along with the loco, are two Pullman coaches - one is named 'Eagle' and the other 'Falcon' and both are in Pullman chocolate and cream livery. There are also six pieces of double straight (T151), two double curves and an uncoupling ramp. There are several pieces of track missing from this set. The inner tray is in lovely condition - I would grade it as B+, the only downside is that all the card inserts are missing. The lid is relatively clean and tidy, however two of the corners have parted, but this is not a major issue - it is actually a nice lid. Also included are a servicing scheme booklet, a Railway Modeller advertising sheet and a flyer for the Triang magazine. Condition of contents: the loco is in very sharp, tidy condition - there are no marks or rubs to any of the lining, name or number etc - and it's in working order, and I would grade it as B to B+; the 'Eagle' coach is a tidy example, and as far as I can tell there are no marks to any of the lining or the name, which is unusual as they do suffer, but perhaps the only downside is that the roof is slightly dirty; on one side of the other coach, the name has virtually rubbed away unfortunately and there are one or two nicks to the lining, the other side of the coach is in virtually perfect condition. So 'Eagle' is B to B+, and 'Falcon' is only B.

Triang Railways T7 Ref: NTR400001
Triang, TT or 3mm gauge, T7 Triang TT Set, comprising a 3-Car DMU, Power Car No.M50421, Trailer Car No.M50425 and Centre Car No.M59133. All three vehicles are in British Railways lined green livery and a livery and all carry the coach roundel style of emblem. The cabs have a white roof and the destination blind reads 'Derby'. The set is in operational order. I think somebody has either added an additional weight to the power car or the weight has come adrift and would need re-securing - I think it is probably the former. Overall, condition of the three vehicles is probably B, possibly a little better. There are no rubs or marks to the lining, decals or running numbers - although they could probably benefit from a very slight clean. Additionally, there is some type B track - there should be an oval here, but three curves are missing. There is also a set of further destination names (Crewe and Derby etc). The box and the card inserts are in reasonably clean condition. All four corners of the lid have parted, but they are repairable. A nice original set, hard to find.
