ACE Trains

Ace Trains began in 1993 Andries Grabowsky bought the rights of the Darstaed brand with the purpose of reviving O Gauge tinplate train production that had almost completely disappeared from the European model railway market.

A well-known model railway collector, Mr. Ron Budd suggested to Grabowsky that there was a gap in the market for a replica of the Hornby  4-4-4 as an electric O gauge locomotive. This particular model had only been produced in the past by Hornby with a clockwork mechanism, and so Ace Trains was Launched.
