Hornby

In 1901, Frank Hornby applied for a patent for his invention ‘Improvements in Toy and Educational Devices for Children and Young People’. Powered by a Clockwork motor and formed from tinplate, early Hornby products brought thrills and excitement to child and adult alike.  

Many refinements have been made to Hornby models throughout the years, from the engineering to the way they are moulded, however the spirit of those early models still lives on today, over 100 years after they were first produced.
