Triang Hornby
Originally named G & J Lines Ltd where it was among the most successful toy companies in the Victorian period, Joesph Lines three sons formed Lines Bro Ltd. Three lines make a triangle, hence Tri-ang was born. Toy making is deep-rooted in the Lines Brothers Company’s past but interestingly during the war they traded in their toy guns altogether and starting producing machinery necessary for war (over 1,000,000 machine guns among other weapons)
Thankfully, Tri-ang went back to selling toys and collectable trains, before being bought out by Rovex Scale Models who continued the joint name Tri-ang-Hornby Railways.
