Bassett Lowke enjoyed success in its early years until 1965, when the company ceased trading. Several attempts were made to relaunch the company in the Late 1960's and one or two models were produced , eventually Corgi accuired the Brand and in 2000 launched a new range of models based on some of the old favourites, again, this wasn't to last as in 2008 Hornby Bought Corgi and with it Bassett Lowke. Hornby continued the Corgi range and introduced what may be the last Loco under the Bassett Lowke name the Peckett 0-4-0st  in 2011. Hornby have since ceased production and have no further plans to further the range.
